Upcoming Changes

Feature Name: Power
Feature Details: This feature allows the player to use Repulsion. This makes the bot shoot out a wave of energy to hit buttons they can’t reach, repel spikes, and push boxes. Repulsion cannot be used when the bot has zero power charges and will spark and play a sound effect alerting the player that there are no power charges available. The bot needs a full power charge to be used. Power and Repulsion are powerful tools and resources that players will want to pay attention to. There are 3 charges, two of which can be awarded to the player. Bots do not keep charges after reprinting. Repulsion also has a cooldown to discourage spamming or accidental uses.

Required Elements:
Collectible Item: Eye Charge
• When the player picks up this object, it will attach to their eye, starting with the left eye, right eye, and the forehead.
• The eye charge will call a function to attach to the player and give them a charge.
• When the eye charge loses power, it stops glowing with light.
• Reprinting the bot will cause the eye charge to return to its original location.
a. Possible edge case if an eye charge is required to complete a level, and its original location is inaccessible by the player.

Collectible Item: Charging Station
• When the bot stands in this location, they will recharge any eye charges without them returning to their original location.
a. Player needs the charging station if:
• they need to use power, and their charge is zero
• they don’t want to reprint to restart an area.
• Charging station will call a function that restores the power of any eye charges the bot has if they stand on the charge plate for 3 seconds.
• The plate will turn red if the bot has no eye charges. Functionality Change: Sprint
• Allows the bot to sprint.
• The bot moves 5% faster for the first two eye charges they have.
• The third eye charge only makes the sprint faster, not walking speed. User Interface Element: Adds a sprint bar.
• Displays next to the bot’s health bar.
• When using sprint and will dissipate after a second.
• Will drain as the player uses the sprint function.
• Recharges after a few seconds of not sprinting.
